The PGP-USERS List:

the Worldwide Discussion List for OpenPGP/PGP/GPG Users

The PGP-USERS List is the longest running list for the worldwide community of PGP, GnuPG and OpenPGP crypto users. Posting volume is moderate to high. While specific posts are not moderated, volunteer CoAdmins read the list and occasionally reinforce the intentionally liberal List Charter (particularly with regard to staying on topic). Everyone is on the honor system to start with, and is expected to adhere to principles of good "netiquette" (or become individually moderated). This is generally reflected in the high quality of the discussion threads, both technical and non-technical. Most questions about OpenPGP and PGP can be answered by (subscribing and then) searching the archives and/or asking the list.

To subscribe, simply go to the Mailman subscribe page and fill out the form at the bottom. You'll need to remember the password you choose while filling out this form, since changing your subscribed address, unsubscribing and other operations all require you to input your password (this prevents spammers and other unauthorized persons from modifying your subscription.)

For assistance with your list subscription only, please send email to the Current CoAdmin at: pgp-users-coadmin [at] cryptorights.org. For other types of assistance, please refer to the instructions in the List Charter. Please DO NOT send technical questions about PGP to the CoAdmin address: such questions should be posted to the main list address (i.e. to the list itself). To avoid common subscriber problems, please be sure to read the PGP-USERS List Charter carefully.

To see the entire collection of prior postings to the list (we've been able to collect over a decade of material), please visit the PGP-USERS List Archives. The archive is currently available only to list members.
