Agenda

The organized program begins at 1:00. After the meeting, there is usually dinner somewhere nearby.

12:00 — Bring lunch, obtain caffeinated beverages.
1:00 — Steve Schear and Counterpane technical staff — Counterpane Intrusion Detection
This is an opportunity for Cypherpunks to grill, question, and otherwise poke holes in Counterpane's new intrusion detection service.
2:00+ — Hugh Daniel — IPSEC Talk, Tutorial/Demo
Hugh will be giving a tutorial on IPSEC and FreeS/WAN to the SANE Conference in the Netherlands, (http://www.nluug.nl/sane/) who are security people but not necessarily cryptographers. It's fairly long, and he'll be talking about building VPNish things, and network security, as well as the Linux implementations.

As usual, this is an open public meeting, and everyone's invited. You don't need to bring two forms of government ID to get your key certified, unless you're into that sort of thing, though creative false documentation is always appreciated... Metricom modems work in the facility. We'll check if there's wired IP connectivity. Rodney requests that if you're using the GPS address for ICBM targeting purposes, please aim 300 meters south, for better Microsoft compatibility.

The Counterpane Secure Operations Center is located at 1090A La Avenida in Mountain View, Off the Shoreline exit on the Bay side of 101, across from Microsoft. Go to the FRONT door. There will be a CYPHERPUNKS sign.

From 101N: Take the Shoreline Exit. Heading north, the offramp winds around till its facing south. Proceed straight across intersection at the end of offramp(towards SGI)which becomes La Avenida. The SOC is on the left, across from Microsoft.

From 101S: Take the Shoreline Exit. Heading south, left turn at the end of offramp. Proceed over 101 and right at first light La Avenida. The SOC is on the left, across from Microsoft.
