"I Left My Cert... in San Francisco"
The August 1999 Physical Meeting of the San Francisco Bay Area Cypherpunks
will be Saturday August 14th, 1-6pm. The meeting will feature a
cross-certification between PGP and X.509 cert formats by Thawte of South
Africa, so if you want to get your PGP key x-certified, obtain a Thawte
Personal Certificate <http://www.thawte.com/certs/personal/contents.html>
before the meeting.
As always, this is an Open Meeting on US Soil and members of the
Public are encouraged to attend.
Meeting Agenda:
"Our agenda is a widely-held secret."
12:00-1:00 — Hang out, consume food, obtain caffeinated beverages.
1:00-6:00 — Organized Agenda :-)
Bruce Watermeyer of Thawte will be talking about
certification.
Chaos Computer Club Campout in Berlin was this past
weekend, and there will be discussions of what
happened there by returnees.
6:00-? — Dinner at a nearby restaurant usually follows the meeting.
Cha Am Thai is nearby, and Thirsty Bear Tavern is another
good choice.
Location Info:
The meeting location will be at the AT&T office at 795 Folsom St., SF.
Meeting Area:
We'll be meeting in the 3rd floor conference room. Because this is a
corporate
office, you'll need to check in at the front desk and be escorted in.
My cell phone number is +1-415-307-7119, and I'll have the phone for the
conference room posted at the desk as well.
The secret passphrase is "I'm here for the meeting on the third floor.".
You'll need to sign in, so think up some creative pseudonym in advance :-)
Nearby attractions include Moscone Center (across the street), and
Coffeenet, 744 Harrison Street, where local Linux groups meet.
